Matt Petersen

Matt Petersen began his construction career in 2006, working in the crane, heavy rigging, heavy transport, machinery moving, and tower crane erection industries. He transitioned into scaffolding in 2008 and joined SDB in July 2012. After a project in Upstate NY, Matt relocated to the Northwest, where he now serves as the Northwest and Base-Build Scaffold Operations Manager. He also leads business development for Scaffold Operations, focusing on building and strengthening customer relationships in Oregon and SW Washington while expanding the Base-Build operation across the U.S. Matt is passionate about mentoring project managers, superintendents, estimators, and other team members.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, especially at their wrestling, basketball, football, and softball games. Recently, he’s taken up golf, striving to improve his game and play as many rounds as possible—despite still losing a few too many golf balls.
